Brand Of Brothers: Uber-stylist-cum-creative director of Thierry Mugler, Nicola Formichetti, commissioned fashion photograper Branislav Jankic to direct a provacative film to showcase the brand’s spring/summer 2012 men’s collection titled Brother’s Of Arcadia. After watching this fashionable soft-core porn, it’s a clear understanding that the works of Herb Ritts and Bruce Weber were a direct inspiration.

Pretty Boy Blues: Gay television network LOGO aired Pretty Boys, a documentary chronicling the lifestyles and career journeys of male models. One thing that stood out to me throughout this documentary is fashion journalist Tim Blanks’ attitude towards male models. It’s almost as if he has a chip on his shoulder when discussing his feelings about them. Also, maybe it’s just me, but this film made male modeling out to be kind of depressing.
