Givenchy Love You Long Time: Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci continues to wow us with his creativity and inspiration. This season he was clearly inspired by Japan, but most certainly China—not a surprise since every other fashion brand is trying to milk the Chinese for their money thanks to a booming economy. But, at the end of the day, this collection is haute-couture. And not everyone can afford it, no matter how successful a country’s economy may be.
According to Tim Blanks’ review of the collection for Style.com, “one outfit required 2,000 hours of cutting and 4,000 hours of sewing”. Clearly, this is not your typical run-of-the-mill clothing.
